The problem

Mistyped email addresses are common: one letter too many, a misspelt domain, a work address given by reflex when the person never reads it. The client has received nothing, and they ring you.

With no way to resend, the only way out is to recreate the booking with the right address — which frees then retakes the slot, with the risk of losing it in between, and which loses the history of the original appointment.

It also happens that the client simply deleted the email, or wants to send it to someone else: their partner, or the employer paying for the session.

How it works in Kagenda

Resending is triggered from the booking, in the calendar, without recreating anything.

  1. You open the bookingFrom the calendar, on the slot concerned.
  2. You send it againThe message goes out again, with the appointment's current details.
  3. You can change the addressResending accepts an address different from the one on file, which fixes typing mistakes without touching the booking.

Frequently asked questions

Does resending correct the address on the client record?

No, resending is a one-off action. So that future messages go to the right place, correct the address on the client record.

Can I resend a reminder rather than a confirmation?

Resending applies to the booking confirmation message. Reminders go out automatically when they fall due.

How do I know an email did not go out?

The calendar flags sending failures, which lets you resend before the client notices.
