Payment at booking — paid before the session even starts
The full amount settled online at the moment of booking, by card, through a Stripe payment page.
The problem
Taking payment on site costs time at every appointment: the card machine, the cheque to pay in, the cash to count, the change to hand back. Multiplied by a week's worth of clients, it is an invisible but very real burden.
It also costs in unpaid bills. The client who forgot their means of payment, the one who says they will settle next time, the one who never comes back. Individually these sums are small and unpleasant to chase, so they are rarely chased.
Payment at booking removes both. When the person arrives, the question of money is already settled and the session starts on something else.
How it works in Kagenda
It is a payment mode of the service. The client cannot finish their booking without having paid.
- You switch the service to full paymentThe setting lives beside the price. Other services can stay free, on deposit, or payable on site.
- The client is sent to StripeA secure payment page hosted by Stripe. You never see their card number and Kagenda does not store it.
- The slot is held throughoutNobody can take it while they pay. If they give up, the slot is released automatically.
- The booking is confirmed once paidThe confirmation email goes out, the appointment enters your calendar, and the payment is attached to that precise appointment.

Which payment methods are accepted?
Whichever your Stripe account accepts, card first and foremost. PayPal is not available today.
Does Kagenda see the card details?
No. The payment takes place entirely on a Stripe page; neither Kagenda nor you have access to the card number.
Can I mix paid and free services?
Yes, the payment mode is set per service. A free discovery call can sit alongside sessions paid for in advance.
When does the money reach my bank account?
According to your Stripe account's payout schedule. Kagenda shows the available balance, the pending amounts and the date of the next payout.
