The problem
A workshop is not an appointment. The participant books places, sometimes for several people, in a session that exists independently of them. Writing “your appointment is confirmed” rings false in the very first line.
The mismatch is not only stylistic. The useful information is not the same: the number of places, the venue which may differ from your usual address, the person leading it, the session chosen among several.
Recycling appointment messages for registrations produces approximate emails, exactly where participants most need precision.

When should I use an event rather than a service?
An event has fixed dates, possibly several sessions, and ticketing by price category. A service with several places is booked continuously on your usual slots. A dated course is an event; a weekly class is a service.
Do participants get a reminder?
The event templates cover the key moments of a registration. Reminder settings are made at business level.
Can several people be registered at once?
Yes, a registration carries a number of places, and the message reflects it.
