What rules apply to a UK paintball site?
Paintball markers below the standard muzzle energy used in the industry are not firearms, so no certificate is required, but everything else is your risk assessment. Eye and face protection to an appropriate impact standard must be worn in all playing and chronographing areas and must never be removed on the field — that single rule is the industry's whole safety case, and it is where claims come from. Chronograph every marker before play and record it, brief every player, and set a minimum age with written parental consent below 18. Public liability insurance is essential and your landowner will require it; UK Paintball Sports Federation membership is the voluntary standard. If you serve food or drink, food business registration applies.
