The problem

A booking taken online makes no noise. If you do not think to open the calendar, you may learn an appointment exists by watching someone walk in — the surest way not to be ready.

The problem bites hardest early on, when bookings are rare and far apart: nobody checks an empty calendar several times a day. That is precisely when missing a booking costs the most.

An alert settles the matter without any particular discipline: the information comes to you.

How it works in Kagenda

Kagenda tells you in two ways, depending on whether you are in front of the app or not.

  1. An email on every bookingSwitchable on or off to suit you. It sums up the client, the service, the date and the time.
  2. A live notificationWhen the app is open, a sound and a panel flag the incoming booking without your having to refresh.
  3. The appointment is already in the calendarThe alert only tells you: the slot has been blocked since the client confirmed, before you even read it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I switch these emails off?

Yes, the alert to you is a separate setting. Some people prefer to rely on the calendar and the live notification alone.

Am I told about cancellations too?

Yes. A cancellation made by the client is flagged to you, and the slot goes back into booking immediately in any case.

Is there a notification on mobile?

The live notification works whenever the app is open, including on mobile. Outside that, email plays the role.
