Booking software for Swimming coaches
One lane, one slot, three pupils at most: booking closes itself and the block of ten lessons goes in all at once.

The challenges facing swimming coaches
The lane is hired by the hour
Your slot is constrained by the pool's, and it does not move.
Learning happens in blocks
Ten lessons for a child learning to swim. One missed lesson and the block falls apart.
Small groups
Three pupils, not four. Beyond that you correct nobody.
Parents at the poolside
They are the ones who book, pay and need to be told.

Practical guide: Swimming coaches
- Match your hours to the lane hire: the diary offers nothing outside them.
- Set the block of ten lessons on recurrence from sign-up.
- A capacity of three on small groups: that is what makes the lesson work.
- The parent's number on the record, not the child's.
- Take the block in one payment: it is also what gets people to the tenth lesson.
Frequently asked questions
Can I limit my hours to the pool's?
Yes, by setting your availability to the hours you hire.
How do I sell a block of ten lessons?
By booking the dates in one go, with a single payment.
Can I teach groups of three at most?
Yes, with a capacity per lesson.
Do parents get the reminders?
Yes. They follow the contact on the record, with the child's name in the message.
What do you need to teach swimming for payment in the UK?
No statute names the job, but nobody will let you on a poolside without three things. A recognised teaching qualification — Swim England or the Swimming Teachers' Association at the appropriate level — which is what pools and insurers require. A current rescue and lifesaving award appropriate to teaching, because a teacher in the water is not a lifeguard and the pool's Normal Operating Procedure will state who is responsible for supervision. And an enhanced DBS check with the children's barred list, since teaching children to swim is regulated activity. Add public liability and professional indemnity insurance, and expect the pool operator to ask for all of it in writing before you hire lane time.
