Booking software for Private spa suites

Two hours sold, twenty minutes of turnaround the client never sees, and add-ons that make the average spend: the diary holds all three without anyone thinking about it.

The challenges facing private spa suites

  • The slot you sell contains time the client never sees

Draining, disinfection, bringing back to temperature, restocking towels. Twenty to thirty minutes between groups, never in the advertised slot, and enough to shift the whole evening.

  • Add-ons make the average spend

Prosecco, petals, sharing platter, a massage on top. Offered out loud they sell one time in three; offered at booking, far more often.

  • Saturday night books three weeks ahead

It is the slot that makes the margin, and it is the one cancelled at forty-eight hours when nothing has been paid.

  • A couples package is not a double booking

It is a whole space taken privately by two people. A diary that counts places instead of spaces gets it wrong every time.

Practical guide: Private spa suites

  1. Put the turnaround into buffer time, not into the duration sold: the client buys two hours, you block two and a half.
  2. Declare each suite as a resource: it gets taken privately, it does not get filled.
  3. Offer the add-ons at booking with their price: that is where they sell, not on arrival.
  4. A required deposit on Friday and Saturday evening slots, with a written scale.
  5. Open the booking horizon to two months: birthdays and Valentine's get booked a long way ahead.
  6. An "occasion" field — birthday, proposal — lets you prepare the space before they arrive.

Frequently asked questions

What rules apply to a private spa suite in the UK?

Water treatment is the heart of it, and there is one document everybody works to: the HSE's HSG282, on the control of legionella and other infectious agents in spa pools, read alongside the approved code of practice L8. It sets out disinfection, testing frequency, records, filtration and the turnaround regime — and it is what an environmental health officer will ask to see, because outbreaks traced to hot tubs are why the guidance exists. The Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group publishes the technical standard alongside it. Add a written risk assessment under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, registration of the premises with the council, and public liability insurance. If you serve alcohol, you need a premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 — including for the complimentary glass of prosecco.

How much does hiring a private spa suite cost?

Around £70 to £150 for two people for two hours, and £120 to £250 with add-ons and treatments. Set your own prices.

How do I allow for cleaning time between groups?

With buffer time after each booking, invisible to the client.

Can I sell add-ons at the time of booking?

Yes, each with its price.

How do I cut late Saturday cancellations?

With a required deposit and a written refund scale, shown before payment.
