Booking software for Nail bars

Four stations, add-ons that stack up, a client booking at 11pm on Tuesday for Saturday: the diary works out the real length and never sells the same station twice.

The challenges facing nail bars

  • Every add-on lengthens the slot

Gel, builder, nail art, soak-off. Someone who ticks three add-ons does not need the same slot as someone who ticks none, and a fixed slot pushes everything behind it.

  • Four stations, four technicians

The diary runs per station and per person, not as one block. Without that, two clients turn up for the same chair.

  • The demand comes in at night

Saturday's client books at 11pm on Tuesday. A salon that only takes phone calls loses half of that.

  • A fast turnover does not forgive lateness

Thirty to forty-five minute treatments back to back: five minutes late on the first becomes forty on the last.

Practical guide: Nail bars

  1. Declare each add-on with its own duration: the slot lengthens by itself and the price shown is the price you take.
  2. One diary per technician and each station declared as a resource: the same chair never gets sold twice.
  3. Five minutes of buffer between clients to sanitise the station and change files.
  4. Open online booking around the clock: half of your Saturday gets booked on a weekday evening.
  5. A deposit on anything over ninety minutes — those are the ones that hurt when they fall through.
  6. A promo code on Tuesday and Wednesday morning slots shifts some of the Saturday pressure.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need a qualification to open a nail bar in the UK?

No. Nail services are not a regulated profession and no qualification is required by law, though insurers and landlords usually ask for one. Three things do apply. If you trade in a London borough you will very likely need a special treatment licence from the council under the London Local Authorities Act 1991, which covers premises, hygiene and staff. Dust and vapour make ventilation an actual duty under COSHH rather than a nicety, and the HSE has published guidance specifically for nail bars. And the products you use must comply with the UK Cosmetic Products Regulation — methyl methacrylate is not permitted in nail products.

How much does a set cost at a nail bar?

Around £25 to £45 for a gel manicure and £35 to £65 for a full acrylic set, with infills lower. Set your own prices.

How do I handle add-ons that make the treatment longer?

Declare each one with its duration. The slot adjusts on its own.

Can I run several stations at once?

Yes, by declaring each station as a resource.

Do my clients need to create an account?

No. A name, an email and it is done.
