Booking software for Cryotherapy centres

A session lasts three minutes, but reception and preparation take fifteen — and the screening form is not negotiable.

The challenges facing cryotherapy centres

  • Three minutes of session, fifteen minutes of slot

Reception, screening, undressing, instructions, session, dressing. The time sold and the time occupied have nothing to do with each other, and it is the second that fills the day.

  • The screening form is not negotiable

Heart condition, uncontrolled hypertension, pregnancy, circulatory disorders. Those questions get asked before the visit, in writing, and the answer stays on file.

  • Athletes come for a course, the curious for one session

Ten sessions in three weeks on one side, a taster on the other. Neither the same slots nor the same prices.

  • The chamber cannot be shared

One person at a time, and a recovery cycle between two. Real capacity is well below what an hourly grid suggests.

  • A package gets used up with no record

Ten sessions paid, six done, and an athlete who counts differently from you.

Practical guide: Cryotherapy centres

  1. A service duration that covers reception and preparation, not just the three minutes of cold.
  2. A screening form in required fields, reviewed before every first session.
  3. Two separate services, "taster" and "course session", with their own prices and slots.
  4. The chamber declared as a resource, with the recovery cycle as buffer time.
  5. The course booked in advance: ten sessions over three weeks in one operation.
  6. The package attached to the record: the balance is read, not negotiated.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a cryotherapy session cost?

Around £25 to £50 for a single whole-body session and £200 to £400 for a course of ten. Set your own prices.

What can you claim about cryotherapy in the UK?

Very little, and this is where operators get caught. The Advertising Standards Authority has repeatedly ruled that claims about recovery, weight loss, inflammation and pain relief for whole-body cryotherapy are not adequately substantiated, and the CAP Code applies to your website and social media as much as to paid advertising. Section 4 of the Cancer Act 1939 makes advertising any offer to treat cancer a criminal offence. Separately, the safety obligations are serious: nitrogen-cooled chambers create an asphyxiation risk, which brings in COSHH, DSEAR and oxygen depletion monitoring, and there have been fatalities in this sector abroad. A written risk assessment, trained supervision and screening are not optional.

Can I block more time than the session lasts?

Yes. The service duration covers the whole visit, and buffer time covers the reset.

Can I have a medical screening form completed before the visit?

Yes, with required custom fields.

Can I offer both courses and single sessions?

Yes, as two separate services.

How do I track a course of ten?

The package attaches to the client record and the balance updates itself.
